"It's not for me to tell you to be patient..."

"So this story, this struggle, continues today — for even as we face extraordinary challenges as a nation, we cannot — and will not — put aside issues of basic equality. We seek an America in which no one feels the pain of discrimination based on who you are or who you love."
-Obama's speech yesterday's at the LGBT Pride Month reception

I so, so, so want to believe this will happen. Obama's remarks yesterday were uplifting and inspiring, but are still just words thus far. So there damn well better be some actions behind them!

Happy Pride!

  1. I don't know, maybe it's his hot wife, but I can't help but like the guy.

I also appreciate he admits that it's going to be a slow process. Because it is. And it's not always the right move to take drastic steps. He's got three and a half years to do something.
