Outfit Post: Bomb Girls

I'll admit that this outfit is a fairly literal interpretation of 40s fashion, but I can't help it - I'm a sucker for a good wartime frock! This is the first time I've worn this bobble cardigan, which I picked up on super-sale this summer at Anthro knowing that it would be perfect for Edge of Love inspired fall outfits. This dress is a brand-new addition from my favorite shopping addiction eshakti. The print is of tiny watercolor birds!

With the advent of fall, I had been in search of a perfect wool blazer, and mentioned my search to my mom. Imagine my surprise when she showed up one day at work with lunch and this lovely hacking jacket! It's somehow not exactly what I was looking for and yet absolutely perfect. I want to wear it, and these penny loafers, with everything this fall!

Outfit Post: Monochrome

Well, nearly. This black-on-denim look is positively subdued for me, enough so that I had to add my new pair of crackle-finish silver oxford flats.

Outfit Post: Mustard

I have had this skirt stashed in my closet since I bought it in Ireland in July. July, folks. Just because of the glorious mustard color in it that just screamed autumn. So of course, once I bought tights that matched I had to pair them together now that the weather's turned.

Outfit Post: Slither

So, I finally have a good place to take pictures again - in my brand-new apartment! By brand-new, of course, I mean new to me, because the house was build in 1898. As a solitary sort of person, I am completely in love with living alone and have been enjoying making the most of my new small space. Expect more outfit posts in the future!

I love this dress and the way it hugs every bit of my curves. Plus, I'm a sucker for anything with strong shoulders. It was warm enough to go bare-legged today, but I doubt that will last long! I paired it with heeled penny loafers and my favorite trench-cape.
