Outfit Post: Oxford

Wore this a couple of day ago, taking advantage of the last few days of spring-ish weather before we move well into summer. The wee pin on my cardigan is a tiny, tiny bulldog!

Outfit Post: Tartan, Argyle, all things Scottish

I snagged some great lumberjack-esque pieces this weekend, and found that the colors of the plaid camp shirt matched perfectly with this sweater vest that I don't wear often.

Outfit Post: Buttoned up

I love the color on this bright and cheerful shirt dress! It's a great solid to play with.

A brief spate of gorgeously perfect spring/summer weather let me pull out my favorite sundresses, if only for a while (back to rain for a week now).

Outfit Post: Dapper Cozy

This is another "practice" outfit from my visit with my sister. This sweater is one of my favorite new things, picked up for a song from the H&M menswear section. It's a fairly dense knit, so it quickly got too warm to wear it this spring, but will serve me well in the upcoming Minnesota winters!

Outfit Post: Attention!

Man, these boots are so much fun. I mixed them with a few slightly more literal military-inspired pieces today, then toss in the soft floaty silk skirt. Can't be too serious, mind.

Outfit Post: Zip it up

Okay, yet another pair of new shoes! This pair was very generously gifted to me by a coworker who purchased them and couldn't find a way to wear them. Luckily for me, I can think of many ways!

Outfit Post: Seeing double

I love the vintage feeling of this top's print, so I decided to play it up with a complimentary floral in my headscarf. I don't know if I've shown these Kork-ease clogs before, but they've been a solid staple in my wardrobe since I picked them up last winter.

Outfit Post: Hipster Lumberjack or Lumberjack Hipster?

Over Memorial Day weekend, I visited my sister, and one of her requests was that we work out some outfits together and take photos. Who am I to say no? So, the next few outfit shots aren't technically ones I have worn, but potentials!

Outfit Post: Gamine

These shoes were a terrible impulse buy, but one I do not regret for a second. They're so sunny and cheerful, and the colors in the floral print are wonderfully versatile with my wardrobe. Don't mind my horribly wrinkled shirt or oddly poofy hair!

Outfit Post: VFW

This outfit was centered around my new Naturalizer Ranger boots; to play up their military feeling I went with a vintage Americana feeling, including a 70s-vintage belt buckle from my dad's days working for Budweiser and a tooled purse from my grandmother. Add some massive sunnies and red lipstick, and it was perfect for browsing my neighborhood's art fest this weekend.

I didn't pick up any art, but the local arts & culture museum had old photographs from the area, so I snagged this awesome one of a VFW parade in 1944.
