I have something of a wool blanket/throw collection going - they're one of my favorite things to buy as souvenirs when in sheepy countries (Ireland, Scotland) and they're terribly nice to have around for cozy tv watching. So far I have a great
purple tartan one, a
purple/cream check one, and an Avoca
red/grey tartan.
Someday, I'd love a good classic
Pendleton striped throw. Maybe vintage?
But now, I'm loving the offerings from
Faribault Woolen Mill Co. I think it's my current love of buffalo check, probably inspired by being back in the mountains and countryside, where homey plaids and rugged leather and plush fur feel so much more appropriate than in the city.
They also have a great Stewart plaid. I'd love either that or a Black Watch throw.
